Vui Sebastian Mariner is a visionary leader, recognised specialist and prominent figurehead in the industry. He is considered the youngest leader in his line of work and his influence as well as input, has ensured a cooperative relationship with both client and contractor. Sebastian is an analytical consultant who strives to integrate global innovations with local values, and his unbeatable roll-out time has placed him at the forefront of recent industry developments in Samoa and the Pacific. His relentless pursuit of excellence and timeliness inspires the OSM team to deliver high-quality work for each individual project.
In terms of qualification, Vui Sebastian holds a BE Civil (Hons) from the University of South Australia, and a Masters in Engineering Science from the University of New South Wales (Australia). Vui Sebastian is also a certified public accountant (Samoa Institute of Accountants) and an accredited mediator (Accredited Mediators of Samoa Association). He is also a council member of the Institute of Professional Engineers of Samoa. In addition to that, he serves as an Associate Pastor for the Apia Harvest Centre (AHC) Church at Togafu’afu’a, and he is a part-time teacher at the AHC Bible College. Vui Sebastian also holds a Diploma in Ministry from Rhema Bible Training School.
For the last 25 years, he has been working as an engineer in Samoa and is fully conversant with the requirements of local authorities. Sebastian is well versed in all aspects of civil design and construction, which includes project management; project financing; contractual services management; budget preparation; community liaison; and project supervision.
